Ted Williams Arrested After Altercation With Daughter

Last week, Ted Williams - a homeless man with a "golden voice" suited for radio and voiceovers - was a national sensation. With a YouTube video garnering millions of hits, and appearances on shows like "Dr. Phil" and "Good Morning America," it seems that Williams' luck had officially turned.

Unfortunately, luck tends to be mercurial that way, and just as he was embarking on a road to stardom (or at least to a four-star hotel), Williams has hit another low. Now, news has broken that Williams was detained by police on Monday night after a loud argument broke out between him and his daughter at Los Angeles' Renaissance Hotel.

Contrary to reports, Williams was not technically arrested or charged, and he was released later that night. Earlier in the day, Williams had visited the Lakers. Kobe Bryant described the experience meeting the internet sensation as "pretty cool."

According to the LA Times, an investigation is still ongoing into the altercation between Williams and his daughter.

No word on whether the news will impact the many job offers rolling in on Williams since he went from panhandler to phenomenon overnight.
