Bank of America’s online service suffered a down time on Friday January 14th, 2011.
While some users were able to access a very slow site others complained of receiving an error message as they tried to conduct their usual businesses.
This time around the company has issued a statement explaining the issues and despite the rumors – the site was not hacked by WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange. Here is the statement:

“We are aware of the problem and are working to get things sorted as swiftly as possible.”
The statement goes on to explain that Bank Of America was down due to an IT glitch:
“This was the result of a routine system change made last night. This is not a form of malware, or any attack or anything related to WikiLeaks.”
The site is up and running smoothly for some costumers while others are still having difficulties accessing their accounts.
In this particular case, patience is the best remedy
