Lindsay Lohan’s accuser Dawn Holland was fired by Betty Ford Center. The Betty Ford Center fired the employee who accused actress Lindsay Lohan of assaulting her when she tried to administer an alcohol test, saying the worker violated patient confidentiality by speaking with the media about the incident.
According to the Los Angeles Times, an attorney for Dawn Holland said Wednesday that the “termination was retaliation for refusing to back off pursuing criminal charges against Lohan. The Dec. 12 incident is being investigated by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.”
The Betty Ford Center, located in Rancho Mirage, fired Dawn Holland after celebrity website TMZ.com posted a video and a document from Holland. Dawn claims that Lindsay Lohan hurt her wrist during the a struggle on December 12. According to Dawn Holland’s version of events, Lohan “grabbed my wrist and snatched it down” to try to get the phone away from her. Dawn Holland had to go to the emergency room with a sprained right arm.
But Betty Ford Center officials say that patient confidentiality is a priority.
“When patients come to the center for treatment, they come to a safe place where their identity is protected, where anonymity is safeguarded,” the Betty Ford Center said in a statement.
