December 20 will be full lunar eclipse 2010. Total eclipse of moon can be seen all over Monday
Come Monday many sky watchers will be looking for the moon. It is understood that on this day the total eclipse of moon will take place. Enthusiasts are waiting for this day so that they could see the lunar eclipse unfold in front of themselves. But all depends on the weather. If rain, clouds or fog appear then obviously it would be difficult to watch the lunar eclipse.
But for many people it is going to be worth staying up late to watch things happen. The best view could have from the Bay Area and across the nation. Lunar eclipses are not something new for many Americans. It happens on and off.
But for many it is a life time opportunity and they don’t want to miss it. Andrew Fraknoi, chairman of astronomy at Foothill College in San Mateo, said it could be easily observable from everywhere.
He said: "It's a really democratic event because you don't need an expensive telescope or any other sophisticated equipment to enjoy the spectacle - just your eyes or, if you like, a pair of binoculars." But what if the weather is bad? In such cases things would be difficult.
And this is not for the first time that such a thing has happened. Of late a large number of people love to watch lunar eclipse. But in many countries, people avoid watching it as they feel that it is sign of bad thing. But scientific studies don’t believe in this theory. If you are one of the buffs then don’t miss the opportunity. Be ready to watch this historic moment.
