CWG Opening Ceremony - 2010 - COMPLETE VIDEO

New Delhi: After a dazzling opening day Delhi witnessed spectator free venues in CWG. Only a few fans were seen in heavily guarded galleries on Monday. When the games officially started this morning organizers were desperate on lowest ticket sales and empty stadiums.

India fears whether the games will lose its hue and color seen in the opening ceremony on Sunday night. With a great Indian circus mixed with tradition and modernity the Delhi night had displayed the incredible beauty of the country. The colorful night covered all darkness of shameful corruption and construction delays.

However, the first day of 11-day long game gives no hope for most expensive CWG as major events like swimming, netball, tennis and hockey lacked cheering galleries. Now the question remains about two million tickets rest in official hand s thanks to delays in finalising the sales network.

The amazing performance of 8 Gold medalists is the focal point of Today’s games schedule. Five of the titles are expected from the pool where England's double Olympic champion Rebecca Adlington headlines the women's 200m freestyle.

Men's 400m freestyle, the women's 200m individual medley, the men's 200m butterfly and the men's 4x100m freestyle relay are the events expected to show tight competition for Gold among players from Australia, South Africa and England. Weightlifting in the women's 48kg category and the men's 56kg will be another field to win Gold medals.

Amidst tight security blanket Delhi witnessed a cheerful Sunday evening showcasing the glory and power of the country among 71 countries of Common Wealth. The security measures continues while common people and shopkeepers had to burden the weight of multi crore games extravaganza.
