If you know what Louis Armstrong actually sang through his horn, you’re better….because it’s like you get to speak with the wisest people who ever lived.” Wynton Marsalis, America’s music ambassador, was on “60 Minutes” tonight. Morley Safer went on a jazz tour with Marsalis on the Lincoln Center Orchestra on the show. The company was in London and Havana during this episode of “60 Minutes.”

Jazz is uniquely American, and the show featured Wynton Marsalis bringing the music to people all over the world. This is what he considers his lifelong mission, and he came by it honestly being the son of Ellis Marsalis, a famous jazz pianist from New Orleans. New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz.

The group not only performed, but they also taught. While in Havana, Ted Nash, the band’s saxophone player, patiently showed a young Cuban girl how to coax soulful notes out of the horn. Nash said, “It’s so beautiful to travel, because we get to mix with people, maybe at a point when we would normally be getting kind of worn out…we get kind of recharged a little bit from the energy of the people.”

Wynton Marsalis said that “The arts are our collective human heritage. You’re a better person if you know what Shakespeare was talking about. If you know what Beethoven struggled with, if you know about Matisse. If you know what Louis Armstrong actually sang through his horn, you’re better.” He is right, and Marsalis serves a worthy mission for his life. His “60 Minutes” appearance was memorable and beautiful. It appears as if he and his orchestra were able to touch and teach many people throughout the world. Verizon HTC Thunderbolt 4G photos leaked

Wondering what Verizon’s HTC Thunderbolt 4G looks like? Well, if these leaked photos show the real handset, it’s nothing more than a slightly different version of the Desire HD / Evo 4G.

Of course, that’s not a bad thing. Like the Evo 4G (but unlike the Desire HD), the Thunderbolt has a kickstand on the back and a front-facing camera for video calling.

The specs of the Thunderbolt 4G aren’t known at the moment. Anyway, the display seems to be a 4.3 inch WVGA one, the photo camera is likely an 8MP one, and the processor should be clocked at 1GHz or higher.

The HTC Thunderbolt 4G will most likely be Verizon’s first LTE smartpohne. It will be officially announced at CES 2011 – next week.

New Captain America Behind-the-Scenes Photos

Dutch magazine Veronica (via The Chris Evans Blog) visited the set of Captain America: The First Avenger and published this article, which includes new behind-the-scenes shots. While not much new is learned from the article, they mention that 25 shields were made for the production. Small ones were made for the fighting and running, and one was even made out of bronze that was impossible to lift. Chris Evans in some scenes threw a "green frisbee" that will be turned into the shield using special effects. We hope to have some better-quality versions of these images soon.

Taylor Swift Lyrics Apologizing to Taylor Lautner?

Taylor Swift's ballad "Back to December" appears to be saying sorry to Taylor Lautner for taking advantage of their relationship.

Taylor Lautner, most well-known for his role as Jacob in The Twilight Saga, was rumored to be dating Taylor Swift last December. The two met on the set of Valentine’s Day, and sources say that it was nothing serious. Apparently, the romance was “overblown.”

Regardless of how serious the relationship was, it appears that Swift has made a public apology to the Twilight star in her song “Back to December.”

Lyrics include: “So this is me swallowing my pride, Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night... I'd go back in time and change it, but I can't, so if the chain is on your door, I understand.”

Swift still hasn’t confirmed whether or not the song is about Lautner. However, she tells E! News, "It addresses a first for me. I've never apologized to someone in a song before ... The person I wrote this song for deserves this. This is about a person who was incredible to me – just perfect to me in a relationship – and I was really careless with him."

Jenn Sterger (PICTURES): Brett Favre Scandal Investigated by NFL

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) Gawker sports blog Deadspin called it "Brett Favre's Cellphone Seduction of Jenn Sterger," when they released voicemails and X-rated pictures that they say feature the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, and now the NFL is investigating.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says the league will "make a determination" if the Vikings quarterback should be punished once the NFL completes its investigation.

The NFL is looking into the matter under its personal conduct policy.

Crimesider spoke to CBS News legal analyst Trent Copeland, who said that even though "Favre is a hall of fame-caliber quarterback, at the end of the day, he's an employee." And just like any other employee, he's supposed to follow the rules and regulations of his employer, especially regarding the treatment of other employees.

The texts were allegedly sent by Favre to Jenn Sterger, then a sideline reporter employed by the New York Jets, while Favre played for that team. The Vikings, Favre's current team, play the Jets Monday night in New York.

Goodell said that the NFL is "making sure we understand all the facts," speaking at halftime of the Chargers-Raiders game Sunday.

While Deadspin initially reported that Sterger herself told them about the photos last February, the website said that the new evidence was "acquired from a third party."

"Sadly, Jenn is still reluctant to talk on the record about the matter," wrote Deadspin editor-in-chief A.J. Daulerio.

Favre has been married to his wife, Deanna, for 14 years.

Sterger's website describes her as an actress, model, writer and television host. The 26-year-old is now a personality for Versus, a sports-oriented cable channel.

Sterger's manager Phil Reese said she is "not doing any interviews or commenting at this time," but that "Jenn did not provide Deadspin with any information."
